To display debugging information about the parsing and verification of the DOCSIS code verification<br />

certificates (CVCs) that are part of a software image downloaded with the Secure Software Download<br />

(SSD) procedure, use the debug docsis ssd command in privileged EXEC mode.<br />

Syntax Description This command has no arguments or keywords.<br />

cable access routers, and the <strong>Cisco</strong> CVA122 <strong>Cable</strong> Voice Adapter.<br />

Usage <strong>Guide</strong>lines This command displays whether the Secure Software Download procedure could validate the<br />

manufacturer’s CVC and optional cosigner’s CVC (if present) that are part of the downloaded software<br />

image.<br />

Examples The following example shows typical output for a successful Secure Software Download procedure for<br />

a software image that has been signed by both the manufacturer and by a cosigner:<br />

If the manufacturer’s signature on the software image file cannot be validated using the manufacturer’s<br />

CVC on the router, the following messages are displayed:<br />

MFG code signature does not validate<br />

MFG CVC validation has failed<br />

If the MSO cosigner’s signature on the software image file cannot be validated using the cosigner’s CVC<br />

on the router, the following messages are displayed:<br />
