IP address conservation with routing capabilities over a two-way cable plant; supports<br />

sharing one IP subnet across multiple cable interfaces grouped into a cable interface<br />

bundle with support for bundle masters; can be used with generic routing encapsulation<br />

(GRE) tunnel setups and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) configurations.<br />

Note Feature sets differ in support of overlapping IP addresses for subinterfaces.<br />

<strong>Cable</strong> Monitor The cable monitor command allows an external LAN packet analyzer to monitor<br />

inbound and outbound data packets for specific types of traffic between the <strong>Cisco</strong> CMTS<br />

and the CMs on a cable interface. This feature enables the CMTS administrator to<br />

analyze traffic problems with customer data exchanges. For complete information on<br />

Caching Web Cache Control Protocol (WCCP) and WCCP Version 2 (WCCPv2) support.<br />

Clock Synchronization Increased reliability for Voice-over-IP (VoIP) transmissions to synchronize VOCODEC<br />

with a clock source and data transmissions between endpoints.<br />

Concatenation Increased upstream throughput by handling concatenated bursts of multiple MAC<br />

frames from CMs that support concatenation.<br />

Debugging <strong>Command</strong>-line interface (CLI) to help debug configuration and operational problems<br />

(for example, why CMs or set-top boxes (STBs) are not working properly on the CMTS:<br />
