This section describes the cable-specific commands available to the family of <strong>Cisco</strong> cable customer<br />

premises equipment (CPE) devices. See the following sections for more information:<br />

Supported Platforms and <strong>Cisco</strong> IOS Releases—Describes the cable CPE platforms and <strong>Cisco</strong> IOS<br />

releases that support the commands listed in this section.<br />

<strong>Cable</strong> CPE <strong>Command</strong>s—Describes each cable-specific command to change or display the<br />

configuration of a cable CPE device.<br />

Debug <strong>Command</strong>s—Describes the cable-specific commands that are needed only when<br />

troubleshooting a cable CPE device and its configuration.<br />

Supported Platforms and <strong>Cisco</strong> IOS Releases<br />

Table 5-1 lists the <strong>Cisco</strong> cable CPE platforms and <strong>Cisco</strong> IOS releases that support the commands listed<br />

in this section. Earlier <strong>Cisco</strong> IOS software releases might not support all the commands listed, or might<br />

support them on fewer platforms or with a limited functionality. See the “<strong>Command</strong> History” section of<br />

each command for complete details.<br />

in their respective mainline trains but are not being updated with any new features.<br />

Note Not all platforms support all commands, and support for some commands depends on the specific<br />

<strong>Cisco</strong> IOS release. See the “<strong>Command</strong> History” section for each command for a list of the supported<br />

platforms and required <strong>Cisco</strong> IOS releases.<br />
