Field Description<br />

Avg upstream channel utilization Average percent of the upstream channel bandwidth being used.<br />

Avg percent contention slots Average percent of slots available for CMs to request bandwidth<br />

using contention mechanisms. Also indicates the amount of unused<br />

capacity in the network.<br />

Avg percent initial ranging slots Average percent of slots in the initial ranging state.<br />

Avg percent minislots lost on Average percent of slots that were lost because a MAP interrupt<br />

Current Total Bandwidth Total amount of bandwidth reserved by all CMs sharing this<br />

upstream channel that require bandwidth reservation. The CoS for<br />

these CMs specifies some nonzero value for the<br />

guaranteed-upstream rate. When one of these CMs is admitted on<br />

the upstream, this field value is incremented by this<br />

guaranteed-upstream rate value.<br />

CIR admission control Indicates the status of admission control on the upstream channel.<br />

ENFORCED status allows users to enable admission control on a<br />

per-port basis. This controls how limited bandwidth is allocated.<br />

NOT ENFORCED status indicates that there is no admission<br />

control. Every modem that registers with a class of service<br />

specifying a minimum upstream rate is admitted by the CMTS,<br />

regardless of how much aggregate bandwidth is actually available.<br />

Users enable admission control via the admission control<br />

command-line interface (CLI).<br />

Subscription Level Amount of oversubscription to allow on this upstream channel, as<br />

configured with the cable upstream admission-control command.<br />

Oversubscription is expressed as a percentage of the raw capacity<br />

of the channel. In the example shown, an oversubscription rate of<br />

200 percent on a 2.56 Mbps channel allows the cumulative<br />

bandwidth reservation on this channel to reach 5.12 Mbps before<br />

CMs configured with nonzero reserved upstream rates are denied<br />

service.<br />

Reservation Limit (with Maximum cumulative bandwidth reservation allowable before<br />

Oversubscription)<br />

rejecting new CMs. In the example shown, this reservation limit<br />

with oversubscription is 5.12 Mbps.<br />

Admission requests rejected Number of CMs that attempted to register on this interface but were<br />

rejected because of the admission control policy that has been<br />

configured with the cable upstream admission-control command.<br />

Last Minislot Stamp<br />

Indicates the current minislot count at the CMTS. FLAG indicates<br />

(current_time_base)<br />
