The doctoral program <strong>of</strong>fers four streams <strong>of</strong> research, namely: (See Table 5-1)

These 4 streams <strong>of</strong> research are organized as part <strong>of</strong> a six semester program with two main cycles:
<strong>the</strong> first cycle <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> program is based on specialized seminars in each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 4 streams
complemented by additional courses and <strong>the</strong> research proposal and <strong>the</strong> second cycle is <strong>the</strong> research
project development:
In <strong>the</strong> first cycle, <strong>the</strong> focus is on providing <strong>the</strong> fundamental <strong>the</strong>ory on which students concentrate
in order to deepen and update <strong>the</strong>ir knowledge in <strong>the</strong> conceptualization and work methods <strong>of</strong> KM.
The program will provide seminars to support <strong>the</strong> concentration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> research, exposing <strong>the</strong>
student to interdisciplinary work with o<strong>the</strong>r streams and problems to solve, This process seeks to
provide to <strong>the</strong> student better
understanding to help select a stream <strong>of</strong> research and improve <strong>the</strong> proposed research project that
<strong>the</strong> doctoral student presented at <strong>the</strong> beginning <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> program. See Table 5-1 for more detail <strong>of</strong>
<strong>the</strong> first cycle.
