The <strong>CompoBus</strong>/S System settings are described in this section.<br />

Usable node numbers are set from a Programming Device by specifying<br />

either of the following values as BCD in data memory (bits 0 to 3 of DM6603).<br />

The CPM2C-S Series is a small PLC based on the CPM2C Series with built-in<br />

<strong>CompoBus</strong>/S Master functions. The CPM2C-S Series, like the CPM2C<br />

Series, incorporates a variety of functions, such as pulse synchronous control,<br />

input interrupt control, high-speed counters, pulse outputs, and clock<br />

functions.<br />

Up to 32 <strong>CompoBus</strong>/S Slaves can be connected to the CPM2C-S Series to<br />

construct an I/O link system with up to 256 points (128 inputs and 128 outputs).<br />

With <strong>CompoBus</strong>/S Slaves, such as <strong>CompoBus</strong>/S Remote Terminals,<br />

Analog Terminals, Sensor Terminals, and Bit Chain Terminals connected, the<br />

CPM2C-S Series saves wiring effort and supports long-distance communications.<br />

A model number with the suffix “-DRT” means that the model also supports<br />

DeviceNet Slave functions, thus enabling I/O linking with the DeviceNet Master.
