3-2-1 Branch Connector<br />

When Special Flat Cable cable is used, determine which wires are to be used,<br />

as shown in the following diagram.<br />

Branch Connectors are used to make branches from the main line. A commercially<br />

available terminal block can also be used to make branches.<br />

Connector Components The Branch Connector has three components: Cover 1, Cover 2, and the contact<br />

block. The following diagram shows Cover 1.<br />

The following diagram shows Cover 2.<br />

The following diagram shows the contact block.<br />

Communications power supply + (BS+) Brown<br />

Communications data high (BD H) Black<br />

Communications data low (BD L) White<br />

Communications power supply – (BS–) Blue<br />

Note Cover 1 and Cover 2 can be distinguished by the cover number.<br />

Installation Procedure Use the following procedure to attach a Branch Connector to the communications<br />

cable.<br />

The following procedure is an example to branch the main cable. The same<br />

procedure will apply even if the main line does not need to be distinguished<br />

from the branch lines.<br />
