Slave Components The following diagram shows the main components of the CPM1A-SRT21 I/O<br />

Link Unit for CPM1A/CPM2A. The functions of these components are<br />

Expansion I/O Connecting Cable<br />

(provided with this Unit)<br />

Connect to the expansion<br />

connector of the CMP1A/CPM2A<br />

CPU Unit or the Expansion Unit.<br />

DIP Switch<br />

Open the cover to reveal the DIP switch. The DIP<br />

switch's pins have the following functions:<br />

Pins 1 to 4: Node number setting<br />

Pin 5: Communications mode setting<br />

Pin 6: Hold/Clear outputs for communications error<br />

DIN Track Mounting Hooks<br />

Used when mounting the Unit to a DIN track.<br />

Terminal Block<br />

Used to connect <strong>CompoBus</strong>/S communications cable.<br />

Shared communications and I/O terminals are not used.<br />

Mounting Screw Holes<br />

Used when screwing the Unit to a control panel.<br />

Indicators<br />

The following table shows the meaning of the indicators.<br />

DIP Switch Always turn OFF the CPM1A or CPM2A CPU Unit before changing DIP switch<br />

settings.<br />
