Note 1. The node number of the 32-point Slave must be set to an even number. If<br />

an odd number is input, the odd number less one will be set in the Slave.<br />

2. The possible range of node numbers varies with the type of Master and<br />

settings in the Master. Refer to 2-1 Communications Specifications for details.<br />

The following communications modes are set with pin 3 of the DIP switch as<br />

shown below.<br />

Note Make sure that the communications mode of the Slave is the same as that of<br />

the Master Unit. If the communications modes are not the same, normal communications<br />

with the Master Unit will not be possible. The operating status of<br />

the Slave can be verified with LED indicators. Refer to 6-5-1 Indicators.<br />

Hold/Clear Outputs for Communications Errors<br />

Pin 4 is used to set the output data status when a communications error<br />

occurs, as shown in the following table.<br />
