6.1.2 Diagnosis via Ethernet Connection
Via Ethernet the program SYCON.net can establish for diagnosis purposes
a connection to another PC, in which the cifX Communication Interface is
installed.
The system overview in Figure 52 shows which components must be
installed on which PC and how they communicate together, so that the
diagnosis functions can be used.
The following software components are required for PC 1:
• Program SYCON.net (contains the installed component Online Data
Manager ODMV3)
The following software components are required for PC 2:
• Server program (cifX TCP/IP server)
• Device Driver (cifX Device Driver)
