Note: Upgrade older versions of the <strong>cifX</strong> Device Driver necessarily on<br />
the version V1.0.x.x.<br />
3.3.3 <strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong> <strong>Interfaces</strong> <strong>Real</strong>-<strong>Time</strong> <strong>Ethernet</strong> (Slave)<br />
For <strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong> <strong>Interfaces</strong> <strong>Real</strong>-<strong>Time</strong> <strong>Ethernet</strong> (Slave) to operate<br />
properly, the following requirements must be fulfilled:<br />

1. The <strong>cifX</strong> Device Driver must be installed (from V1.0.x.x).<br />
2. The netX Configuration Tool program must be installed or<br />
alternatively the configuration software SYCON.net or another<br />
application program by which the <strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong> Interface <strong>Real</strong>-<br />
<strong>Time</strong> <strong>Ethernet</strong> (Slave) can be parameterized.<br />
3. Using the netX Configuration Tool program, the user must select<br />
the firmware which is to be loaded to the <strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong><br />
Interface <strong>Real</strong>-<strong>Time</strong> <strong>Ethernet</strong> (Slave).<br />
4. The <strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong> Interface <strong>Real</strong>-<strong>Time</strong> <strong>Ethernet</strong> (Slave)<br />
must be parameterized using one of the following options:<br />
• netX Configuration Tool program<br />
• Application program (programming required)<br />
5. For the communication a Master for the respective communication<br />
system is required.<br />
