as a Master with several connected Slave devices. It is also possible that<br />

the <strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong> Interface works as a Slave.<br />

The Figure 53 only shows the case that the <strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong> Interface<br />

works as a Slave.<br />

Requirements for Use<br />

• The <strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong> Interface in PC2 must be installed and operational,<br />

i. e., firmware and configuration must already be loaded on the <strong>cifX</strong><br />

<strong>Communication</strong> Interface.<br />

• The device driver (<strong>cifX</strong> device driver) must be installed and started.<br />

• The server program (<strong>cifX</strong> TCP/IP server) must be started.<br />

The <strong>cifX</strong> TCP/IP server program is on the <strong>cifX</strong> DVD in the directory Tools \<br />

<strong>cifX</strong>TCPServer \ and has the name <strong>cifX</strong>TCPServer.exe. The program must<br />

not be installed, but needs only be executed.<br />
