The Figure 52 shows the case that the cifX Communication Interface works
as a Master with several connected Slave devices. It is also possible that
the cifX Communication Interface works as a Slave.

The Figure 53 only shows the case that the cifX Communication Interface
works as a Slave.
Requirements for Use
• The cifX Communication Interface in PC2 must be installed and operational,
i. e., firmware and configuration must already be loaded on the cifX
Communication Interface.
• The device driver (cifX device driver) must be installed and started.
• The server program (cifX TCP/IP server) must be started.
The cifX TCP/IP server program is on the cifX DVD in the directory Tools \
cifXTCPServer \ and has the name cifXTCPServer.exe. The program must
not be installed, but needs only be executed.
