Device Connections and Switches 219/274 9.3 Ethernet Interface For the Ethernet interface use RJ45 plugs and twisted pair cable of category 5 (CAT5) or higher, which consists of 4 twisted cores and has a maximum transmission rate of 100 MBit/s (CAT5). 9.3.1 Ethernet Pin Assignment at the RJ45 Socket Note: The device supports the Auto Crossover function. Due to this fact RX and TX can be switched. The following figure shows the RJ45 standard pin assignment. (2) With loaded EtherCAT Master firmware only the RJ-45 channel 0 can be used, the channel 1 is deactivated.
