Remove cifX to be replaced
5. Remove the CIFX 90-RE\F Communication Interface Mini PCI:
‣ To remove the CIFX 90-RE\F from the mainboard, pull the clamps on
the sides at the Mini PCI socket on the mainboard until the cifX flips up.
‣ Remove the CIFX 90-RE\F from the Mini PCI socket.
Or:
6. Remove the CIFX 90E-RE\F Communication Interface Mini PCI:
‣ Press down the fastening clips (on the upper edge of the cifX), until the
CIFX 90E-RE\F flips up.

‣ Remove the CIFX 90E-RE\F from the PCI Express Mini System
Connector.
Install Replacement cifX
7. Install replacement CIFX 90-RE\F.
‣ Plug the replacement CIFX 90-RE\F into the vacated Mini PCI socket
on the mainboard.
‣ Press the clamps on the sides at the Mini PCI socket until they snap in,
to fasten the replacement CIFX 90-RE\F to the mainboard.
Or:
8. Install replacement CIFX 90E-RE\F.
‣ Plug the replacement CIFX 90E-RE\F into the vacated PCI Express
Mini System Connector on the mainboard.
‣ Press down the replacement CIFX 90E-RE\F until it snaps into place.
