1.5.5 References for Slot Number (Card ID)
For device revisions equipped with a Rotary Switch Slot Number (Card
ID) the references listed below must be observed in order to:
• a cifX Communication Interface is identified explicitly by the cifX Device
Driver via its Slot Number (Card ID) and can be distinguished from other
cifX Communication Interfaces in the PC.
References:
• Device revisions equipped with a Rotary Switch Slot Number (Card ID)
are listed separately in section Hardware: cifX Communication Interfaces
Real-Time Ethernet on page 17. In Table 2 the column „Rotary Switch Slot
Number (Card ID)“ from HW Rev. lists any device revisions, which are
equipped with a Rotary Switch Slot Number (Card ID). But the required
firmware versions must be used, as given in section Requirements Slot
Number (Card ID) on page 48.
• At least the versions for the driver, the bootloader and the SYCON.net setup
listed in section Requirements Slot Number (Card ID) on page 48 must be
used.
