6.8 Activating DMA Mode in the <strong>cifX</strong> Device Driver Setup<br />

This section describes how to activate the DMA Mode in the <strong>cifX</strong> Device<br />

Driver setup program.<br />

Case 1: Previously a Slot Number (Card ID) between 1 and 9 has been<br />

set at the <strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong> Interface (refer to section PCI and PCI<br />

Express: Setting Slot Number (Card ID), on page 67).<br />

Case 2: Previously the Slot Number (Card ID) value 0 has been set at the<br />

<strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong> Interface or the <strong>cifX</strong> <strong>Communication</strong> Interface is not<br />

equipped with a Rotary Switch Slot Number (Card ID).<br />

The description below refers to case 1 and uses for Slot Number (Card ID)<br />

the value „1“.<br />

1. Switch to SlotNr presentation.<br />

‣ Click under Device List on SlotNr.<br />

‣ Click under Device List on Slot 1.<br />

2. Activate DMA Mode<br />

‣ Check Enable DMA.<br />

3. Apply Settings<br />

‣ Click Apply<br />

The DMA Mode is activated.<br />
