Application
• To distinguish cifX Communication Interfaces from each other clearly,
especially if more cifX Communication Interfaces are installed into the very
same PC.
• In terms of a device exchange service (replacement case): If at the
replacement cifX Communication Interface installed in the PC the same Slot
Number (Card ID) is set as at the preceding cifX, then the same firmware
and configuration is loaded into the replacement cifX, as into the preceding
cifX.
• The application program can request and use the Slot Number (Card ID)
from the cifX Device Driver.
