Follow the instructions below close open patient charges (for services only).<br />

Notes<br />

To close patient open charges for services, you must set up the following<br />

information:<br />

• From <strong>Home</strong> <strong>Office</strong>, click Setup, select Preferences, click the Other<br />

tab, select the Yes radio button next to the Allow Open Charges to<br />

be closed (Services Only) radio button, and click OK. For more<br />

information on setting up this preference, go to To set up other<br />

preferences on page 56.<br />

• From <strong>Home</strong> <strong>Office</strong>, click Setup, select Role-based security, and<br />

ensure that the user has a role assigned to him or her that allows him<br />

or her to close patient open charges (for services only). For more<br />

information on setting up this security preference, go to Setting Up<br />

Security on page 47.<br />

Open a patient record. For more information on opening a patient record, see<br />

Click Service Charges.<br />

The Patient Open Charges (Services Only) window opens.<br />

Select the charges that you want to close.<br />
