Manually Backing Up Databases<br />

Before you begin a backup process with a media type that is not <strong><strong>Office</strong>Mate</strong><br />

iBackup Powered by DataHEALTH, ensure that you have<br />

Closed ExamWRITER on all of your computers.<br />

Note<br />

The integrity of your backup is severely compromised, and in some<br />

cases invalidated, if you perform a backup while <strong><strong>Office</strong>Mate</strong><br />

ExamWRITER open.<br />

Reviewed your backup device and media manufacturer’s replacement<br />

recommendations and ensure that your backup device and media are<br />

within their useful product lifecycle.<br />

Clearly labeled the backup media that you are using for each day of the<br />

week that your office is open for business.<br />

Reviewed the security and privacy requirements and ensure that your<br />

backup procedures are compliant.<br />

Determined the location of your SQL database and your shared data<br />

directory by opening <strong><strong>Office</strong>Mate</strong>, clicking Help, and selecting About<br />

<strong><strong>Office</strong>Mate</strong>. The server location and name of your SQL database is<br />

listed, along with the location of your shared data directory.<br />

Note<br />

If you are storing eDocuments or electronic claims in a location<br />

other than Program Files\OFFICEMATE\DATA, determine the<br />

location of your eDocuments and EMC folders.<br />
