Chapter 16 Calculating & Reporting Commissions
Setting Commission Parameters
Select the Commissionable Amount Reductions, as needed.
a. Select the Patient Discounts and Package Discounts check box to
reduce the commissionable amount by these discounts.
b. Select the Insurance Discounts Before and After Allotments check
box to reduce the commissionable amount by these discounts.
c. Select the Amount Charged to Insurance check box to reduce the
commissionable amount by the amount charged to insurance.
d. Select the Dispensing Fees check box to reduce the commissionable
amount by the amount charged in dispensing fees. This check box does
not affect the commission calculations for providers who have a
commission override set up in the Resource Setup window.
e. Select the Handwritten Items check box to reduce the commissionable
amount by the amount charged for items manually typed on the fee slip.
This check box does not affect the commission calculations for providers
who have a commission override set up in the Resource Setup window.
f. Select the Patient Insurance Co-Pay Amount check box to reduce the
commissionable amount by the copay amount.
In the Other Adjustment Types list box, select and click the right arrow or
double-click the adjustment types that should be excluded from the
commissionable amounts.
Click OK to save your changes.
