one of us as we begin the New
Year. Devotions led by Lauren Walcott,
President of the C.Y.P.U. at our New
Year's watch party were based on this
chapter in Philippians. After an hour or
so of games led by Mary Mitchell, Kay
McCready and Sylvia Montini, we had
our quiet time during which we also
sang Psalms and our Pastor led in
prayer. After ushering in the new year, a
delicious lunch was served by the group.
Special mention goes to Marilyn Hemp
hill who entertained the four juniors who
were brave enough to come. They were
Virginia Montini, Ruth McCready, Ra
KENTUCKY MISSION
We in Kentucky wish to publicly ex
press our sincere thanks to those through
out the Church who have so graciously
remembered us at this season of the year.
Even though Christmas day
was spent
quietly here at home, we were able to re
joice in the glorious blessings we re
ceive through our wonderful Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. Among these
blessings are the friendships throughout
the Church which were manifest in so
many ways
oranges from Florida, gifts
from Massachusetts, Pennsylvania,
Michigan, New York, and Kansas and
greeting cards from everywhere. Besides
these personal gifts, there were gener
ous gifts of money for the Mission ex
pense.
Our Fall Evangelistic Services were
ably conducted by the Rev. Howard El
liott. It was a
joy to have him in our
homes and the messages he brought were
a blessing and a challenge to all who
heard them. The attendance and response
were both better than usual and brought
some encouragement.
Recent visitors to
Sandy Hook and
Wrigley have included Mr. and Mrs.
