Intel ® 82865GV GMCHCAPREG—Capability Identification Register (Device 0)Address OffsetDefault ValueAccessSize:E4h–E8h000001060009hRO40 bitsBitsDescription15:8Next_Pointer. This field has the value A0h pointing to the next capabilities register, AGPCapability Identifier Register (ACAPID). Since AGP is disabled (IGDIS = 0), this becomes the lastpointer in the device, and it is set to 00h signifying the end of the capabilities linked list.9.3.2 Host-to-AGP Bridge Registers (Device 1)Device 1 does not exist on the 82865GV component. The Device 1 registers described in Chapter 3are not in the 82865GV. For the 82865GV, these register address locations are Intel Reserved.9.4 Synchronous Display DifferencesThe synchronous display is different between the 82865G and 82865GV. For the 82865GV, replaceSection 5.5.3, Synchronous Display with the following:Synchronous DisplayMicrosoft Windows* 98 and Windows* 2000/XP have enabled support for multi-monitor display.Synchronous mode will display the same information on multiple displays.Since the 82865GV GMCH has several display ports available for its single pipe, it can supportsynchronous display on two displays unless one of the displays is a TV. No synchronous display isavailable when a TV is in use. The GMCH does not support two synchronous digital displays. The82865GV GMCH cannot drive multiple displays concurrently (different data or timings). Since the82865GV GMCH does not support AGP, it is incapable of operating in parallel with an externalAGP device. The 82865GV GMCH can, however, work in conjunction with a PCI graphicsadapter.226 Intel ® 82865G/82865GV GMCH Datasheet
