Purpose<br />

To <strong>de</strong>light the customer through the manufacturing and servicing process<br />

by implementing the quality goals of the organization.<br />

When to use<br />

When objectives are i<strong>de</strong>ntified at each level of an organization by topdown<br />

and bottom-up consultation and the overall goals of the organization<br />

have been set as specific targets.<br />

How to use<br />

1 Define short-term and long-term goals of the organization.<br />

2 I<strong>de</strong>ntify the measurable goals.<br />

3 Deci<strong>de</strong> the critical processes involved in achieving these.<br />

4 Ask the teams to agree on performance indicators at appropriate stages<br />

of the process.<br />

5 Challenge every level of the process in or<strong>de</strong>r to force the organization<br />

to change the quality culture.<br />

6 Organizational goals are to be used as measurable goals in or<strong>de</strong>r to<br />

make the employee un<strong>de</strong>rstand the importance of the quality improvement<br />

process.<br />
