Purpose
To focus on possible sequences to help lead to a desirable result and
contingency planning.
When to use
When designing a new plan to achieve a desired result, and to avoid certain
undesired outcomes.
How to use
A process decision programme chart can be used to design a plan to
achieve your desired objective, to deal with problems encountered while
implementing the plan and to make correct decisions to enhance the plan,
thereby achieving the objective. In addition, the chart can be used to
conceive counter-measures to avoid an undesirable situation by simulating
a process of events leading to an undesirable result.
