Domainal mapping<br />

Purpose<br />

To assist in the i<strong>de</strong>ntification of internal customers and their needs.<br />

When to use<br />

Either during the diagnostic phase of a total quality process when<br />

conducting internal interviews or as part of a <strong>de</strong>partmental purpose<br />

analysis when reviewing the internal customer-supplier relationship.<br />

How to use<br />

Begin the process by drawing a circle and placing yourself or your<br />

<strong>de</strong>partment in the centre of the circle. Spokes are drawn out from the<br />

centre representing different internal customers and a circle is drawn at the<br />

end of each spoke. The names of the internal customers are written in each<br />

circle.<br />
