If any activity has a float of, say, 3 days, then if it took up to 3 days longer
than planned it would not affect the project duration. However, a delay
longer than this would delay the project's completion.
In our example, the float for each activity is as follows:

If an activity has a float of zero it is a critical activity. Any delay in a
critical activity will delay the overall project. Paths through the network
composed only of critical activities are known as critical paths.
