The security and operability of port structures are conditioned by wave action in a storm situation.
With the aim of reduce the risk that port structures can suffer because of wave action, is important to
know an estimation of the frequency which a storm with a higher wave height could be presented
The extreme regime is a statistic model that describes the probability that a storm can appear with a
certain wave height. This is showed in the figure below:
