2.5.2. Road connectivity<br />

In the same way as the rail linkage, several alternative layouts of the four lane connecting road have been<br />

analyzed. The applied criteria for these layouts are as follows:<br />

• Avoid densely populated areas.<br />

• Use (as far as possible) the existing roads.<br />

• Limit the maximum slope to 4 %.<br />

• Limit the minimum radius to 300 m.<br />

The most suitable two of them are shown in the figure.<br />
