Dustbins shall be provided along roadside so that the road users can use them for disposal of waste materials if<br />

any. Signboards can be installed at desired locations along the roadside propagating people about the<br />

environment to keep neat and clean.<br />

A separate workers camp shall be established by the<br />

project developer, in which basic facilities like drinking<br />

water, sanitation facilities and sewage/solid waste<br />

management for the workers/employees of the port shall<br />

be provided. Cooking fuel will also need to be provided<br />

for by the contractor to the workers in the camp to avoid<br />

destruction of local green cover. Project shall have its own<br />

STP for treating wastewater generated in labour camps<br />

and other processes.<br />

Primary health care and basic first aid shall be provided at<br />

construction site / labour camps. Key requirements are: (i)<br />

availability of adequate number of properly stocked first<br />

aid kits (wrapped sterile adhesive dressings, individually<br />

wrapped eye pads, individually wrapped sterile wound<br />

dressings of various sizes, triangular bandages, safety pins<br />

and sterile gloves); and (ii) first aid training of staff and<br />

workers.<br />
