Chapter – 1 Preparation and Yield optimization..... 1.9 CONCLUSION In this chapter, along with yield optimization of the 2-methyl indoline, simple, easy and fast method was adopted first time to prepare new Mannich bases of 2-methyl indoline using formaldehyde solution and primary and secondary amine. DEPT-135 experiment has proved the possible mechanistic path governing this reaction, which is probably hitherto unknown in literature.
