ÜBERMÄßIGER GEBRAUCH VON ANTIBIOTIKA BEI
AKUTEN RESPIRATORISCHEN INFEKTIONEN

ZUSAMMENFASSUNG
Die häufigsten Ursachen für das
übermäßige Verschreiben von Antibiotika
bei akuten respiratorischen Infektionen
sind:
diagnostische Unsicherheit, mangelhaftes
Wissen, Erwartungen von Patienten und
Eltern, Zeitdruck und ökonomische
Gründe. Maßnahmen, die einen sinnvollen
Gebrauch von Antibiotika fördern können
sind: weniger Druck von den Patienten auf
die Ärzte, eine bessere Informiertheit der
Patienten, Fortbildung der Ärzte, bessere
diagnostische Mittel und
Kostenverringerungsstrategien. Die
Hauptrolle spielt dabei eine angemessene
Kommunikation zwischen dem Arzt und
dem Patienten.
ABSTRACT
The most important reasons for the
inappropriate prescribing of antibiotics
include diagnostic uncertainity, lack of
knowledge, patients' and parents'
expectations, time pressures, and
economics of the practice. Methods for
promoting the judicious use of antibiotics
for treating respiratory infections are:
reducing patient pressure on physicians to
prescribe antibiotic, educating practitioners
and the public, offering practitioners a
better means of diagnosing respiratory tract
infections, cost-containment strategies. The
most important part has good
communication between a patient and a
doctor.
