13.5 <strong>AT</strong>^SPBC Search the first entry in the sorted telephone<br />
book<br />
This command can be used to retrieve the index of the first entry starting<br />
with selected character in the sorted list of phone book records of<br />
the phone book currently selected with <strong>AT</strong>+CPBS.<br />
The sorted list of phone book records can be accessed with <strong>AT</strong> command<br />
<strong>AT</strong>^SPBG. The sort order is described in chapter 13.1.<br />
CAUTION: Please note that the sorted entries are assigned an index of<br />
their own which is not identical with the location numbers used in the<br />
various phone books. Therefore, the index retrieved with command<br />
^<br />
<strong>AT</strong> SPBC command can be used only as an index for <strong>AT</strong>^SPBG. Do not use<br />
the listed index numbers to dial out or modify entries.<br />
This command can be used only after the phone book data from the SIM<br />
have been read successfully for the first time. Reading starts after<br />
successful SIM authentication has been performed, and may take up to 30<br />
seconds depending on the SIM used. While the read process is in progress,<br />
an attempt to use any of the phone book commands will result in "+CME<br />
Error: 14" (SIM busy).<br />
