Product Data:<br />

1. Manufacturer's catalog data and applicable special fabrication and installation details.<br />

2. Installation, terminating and splicing procedures.<br />

3. Instructions <strong>for</strong> handling and storage.<br />

4. Dimensions and weights.<br />

5. Con<strong>for</strong>mance Certificate and Quality Assurance Release: Signed by QAP Manager (Section<br />

01450). Specifically identify products and include purchase order number, supplements, and<br />

item number where applicable. Indicate that requirements are met and identify approved<br />

deviations.<br />

8.4.4 Design Requirements<br />

A. Design grounding system following NEC Article No. 250 – Grounding, IEEE 142-1991-<br />

Recommended Practice <strong>for</strong> Grounding <strong>of</strong> Industrial and Commercial Power Systems.<br />

B. Design Standards:<br />

1. Completely protect above-surface structures and equipment.<br />

2. Calculate system on the basis <strong>of</strong> existing soil resistivity.<br />

3. If cathodic protection <strong>for</strong> underground sewer pipe is installed (see applicable Division 2<br />

Sections), ensure the pipe is not connected to the general grounding system, either directly<br />

through grounding cable or indirectly through grounded electrical devices connected to the<br />

pipe. Electrically isolate electrical devices from sewer pipe.<br />

8.4.5 Products<br />

8.4.5.1 Communications Grounding Conductors<br />

Insulated copper American Wire Gauge (AWG) wire following ASTM-B3, ASTM-B8 and<br />

ASTM-B33, <strong>of</strong> following sizes:<br />
