5. For electrically non-continuous conduits which contain only a grounding conductor, bond the<br />

conduit and conductor together at both ends to ground.<br />

6. Bond conduit ends to nearest TGB with grounding bushings or ground clamps.<br />

8.4.8.6 Shielded Backbone Cable<br />

Terminate and bond shield to the nearest TGB or TMGB at both ends, following<br />

manufacturer’s guidelines.<br />

8.4.8.7 Unshielded Backbone Cable<br />

1. Route a No. 6 AWG copper ground wire along each backbone cable route.<br />

2. Bond each end at the nearest TGB or TMGB in the area that the associated cables are<br />

terminated.<br />

8.4.8.8 Other<br />

Provide and install No. 6 AWG green insulated stranded copper ground wire home run to<br />

nearest TGB from each <strong>of</strong> the following:<br />

1. All conductive ducts.<br />

2. All communications conductive equipment.<br />

3. All communications conductive hardware.<br />

8.4.8.9 Install permanent warning labels adjacent to each TMGB and TGB.<br />

1. Install label as close as possible to busbar.<br />

2. Label shall contain following in<strong>for</strong>mation:<br />

8.5.1 General<br />

Cable support systems typically installed <strong>for</strong> telecommunications include the following:<br />

• Cable trays and associated hardware<br />

• Ladder racks and associated hardware<br />

• Enclosed cable pathways and associated hardware<br />

• Plywood backboards, straps, distribution-rings, hangers, fasteners, and J-hooks<br />

• Conduits and associated hardware<br />
