EDHP 4524G Sport Marketing<br />

3 cr.<br />

Prerequisite: EDHP 2110 or consent <strong>of</strong> department. Provides the<br />

foundations for the rapidly emerging discipline <strong>of</strong> sport marketing.<br />

Focuses on the theoretical and research issues a sports marketer<br />

confronts. The four P’s <strong>of</strong> product, price, promotion, and<br />

place within the uniqueness <strong>of</strong> sport and exercise marketing are<br />

featured.<br />

EDHP 4526 Sport Law<br />

3 cr.<br />

Prerequisite: EDHP 2110 or consent <strong>of</strong> department. Designed to foster<br />

understanding <strong>of</strong> the legal system as it applies to sport and exercise<br />

programs. Knowledge <strong>of</strong> tort law and how to negotiate a contract<br />

are examples <strong>of</strong> the concepts covered. Tools will enable the pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

the ability to develop a risk management.<br />

as mentally retarded, learning disabled, or emotionally disturbed.<br />

Two hours <strong>of</strong> lecture and two hours <strong>of</strong> laboratory.<br />

and/or consent <strong>of</strong> department. Supervised experiences in cardiovascular<br />

fitness, physical education, physical fitness, coaching, programs<br />

for the aging, or related topics. This course may be repeated<br />

but total credit may not exceed six semester hours.<br />

EDHP 6112 Exer Physiology Child & Youth<br />

3 cr.<br />

Prerequisite: consent <strong>of</strong> department. A study <strong>of</strong> acute and chronic<br />

physiologic responses or adaptations in children and youth. Topics<br />

will include maturational changes in physiologic function during<br />

exercise, physical activity and training, and body composition <strong>of</strong><br />

children and youth.<br />

EDHP 6140 Sport and Society<br />

3 cr.<br />

Prerequisite: consent <strong>of</strong> department. Development <strong>of</strong> a theoretical<br />

framework and analysis <strong>of</strong> research relative to cultural-social influences<br />

on sports and conversely the impact <strong>of</strong> sports on society.<br />

EDHP 6170 Tests & Measurements<br />

3 cr.<br />

Prerequisite: consent <strong>of</strong> department. A study <strong>of</strong> the construction,<br />

use, administration, and interpretation <strong>of</strong> evaluative instruments<br />

in Human Performance and Health Promotion.<br />
