Entrepreneurship Concentration:<br />

The Concentration in Entrepreneurship requires the completion <strong>of</strong><br />

Finance 3301, Business Administration 4056, and six hours selected from<br />

the following: Management 3070, 3071, 4057, 4058, Business Administration<br />

3056, 3090, 3091, 4076, or Finance 4222 in lieu <strong>of</strong> 12 hours <strong>of</strong> business<br />

and management electives. The Entrepreneurship Concentration<br />

is designed to develop an awareness <strong>of</strong> the fundamentals <strong>of</strong> starting<br />

and owning one’s own business.<br />

Management Information Systems Concentration:<br />

The Concentration in Management Information Systems requires<br />

the completion <strong>of</strong> Management 3778, and twelve additional hours<br />

selected from Management 4730, 4735, 4740, 4750 and 4760 taken in<br />

lieu <strong>of</strong> management elective courses. The Concentration is designed to<br />

prepare the student for entry into a career or graduate study in the<br />

area <strong>of</strong> information systems. Students majoring in Management may<br />

not minor in Information Systems Management.<br />

Human Resource Management Concentration:<br />

The Concentration in Human Resource Management requires the<br />

completion <strong>of</strong> Management 3467, 4468, 4469 and 4470. The Human<br />

Resource Management Concentration is designed to prepare the student<br />

for a career or graduate study in the area <strong>of</strong> personnel/ human<br />

resource management.<br />

Minor in Management:<br />

Students wishing to minor in management may do so by completing<br />

18 credit hours in management courses at or above the 3000 level<br />

with a letter grade <strong>of</strong> C or better in each course.<br />

Minor in Entrepreneurship:<br />

Students wishing to minor in entrepreneurship may do so by completing<br />

18 credit hours in entrepreneurship. The student must take<br />

Business Administration 4056, Finance 3301, and four additional entrepreneurship<br />

courses to be chosen from Business Administration 1001,<br />

3056, 3090, 3091, 4076, Management 3070, 3071, 4057, 4058, or Finance<br />

4222. A grade <strong>of</strong> C or better must be received in each course.<br />

Minor in Information Systems Management:<br />

Students wishing to minor in Information Systems Management<br />

may do so by completing 18 credit hours in approved management<br />

information systems courses. Students must take Management 3778,<br />

3788 and four <strong>of</strong> the following: Management 4710, 4730, 4735, 4740,<br />

4750, 4760, and Accounting 4142. A grade <strong>of</strong> C or better must be<br />

received in each course. Students majoring in Management may not<br />

minor in Management Information Systems.<br />

Honors in Management:<br />

To graduate with Honors in Management, the following requirements,<br />

in addition to the usual requirements for the major, must be<br />

fulfilled.<br />

1. maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average <strong>of</strong> 3.5 in<br />

management courses and a 3.25 grade-point overall;<br />

2. complete at least six hours <strong>of</strong> honors course work in<br />

management;<br />

3. complete a six-hour senior honors thesis, Management 3099.<br />
