survey <strong>of</strong> the monuments <strong>of</strong> choral repertory and an examination<br />

<strong>of</strong> the practical and philosophical criteria necessary for appropriate<br />

repertoire selection through the use <strong>of</strong> readings, listening<br />

assignments, and selected score preparations. Required for vocal<br />

music education majors.<br />

and other music-related agencies. Interns usually work 12 hours a<br />

week at times mutually agreeable to the individual and the agency.<br />

In addition, interns must attend discussion sessions on campus and<br />

complete written assignments. Both the agency supervisor and the<br />

course instructor will evaluate the intern’s work.<br />

chamber music and other works for small ensembles. In addition<br />

to participation in the ensemble, students will be assigned extra<br />

duties <strong>of</strong> a responsible nature such as coaching, conducting extra<br />

rehearsals, solo work, etc. A maximum <strong>of</strong> three hours credit in<br />

ensembles may be applied toward the graduate degree.<br />

MUS 4901G Chamber Ensemble<br />

1 cr.<br />

Prerequisite: consent <strong>of</strong> department. Intensive study <strong>of</strong> advanced<br />

chamber music and other works for small ensembles. In addition<br />
