3 cr.<br />
Prerequisite: FTCA 4510 or equivalent. 16 mm motion picture production.<br />
Students edit, engineer sounds tracks and complete films<br />
which were produced in FTCA 4510. Two hours lecture and two<br />
hours laboratory.<br />

FTCA 4530G Adv Proj in Film Production<br />
3 cr.<br />
Prerequisite: FTCA 4500 and 4520, or consent <strong>of</strong> department. Students<br />
will produce a major film project, prepare a critical analysis<br />
<strong>of</strong> their production, and present a public screening <strong>of</strong> the production.<br />

FTCA 4540 Development <strong>of</strong> Cinema<br />
3 cr.<br />
Offered only in the fall semester. A history <strong>of</strong> the development <strong>of</strong><br />
the cinema from its beginnings to the present day. Emphasis on the<br />
artistic, social, economic, and technical phenomena which have<br />
influenced the growth <strong>of</strong> international films. Important representative<br />
films will be screened and discussed.<br />

<strong>of</strong> film as a communicative and aesthetic form.<br />

Students crew on a group film project that is led by advanced<br />
students and industry pr<strong>of</strong>essionals, including UNO faculty members.<br />
Responsibilities are limited to the production phase <strong>of</strong> the<br />
shoot that normally occurs during spring break. The course may be<br />
repeated three times for credit.<br />

Students crew on a group film project that is led by advanced<br />
students and industry pr<strong>of</strong>essionals, including UNO faculty members.<br />
Responsibilities are limited to the production phase <strong>of</strong> the<br />
shoot that normally occurs during spring break. The course may be<br />
repeated three times for credit.<br />
