Frequency<br />
Operation<br />
This function gives the frequency value.<br />
Frequency is measured via the following:<br />
b based on U21, if only one phase-to-phase voltage is connected to the Sepam<br />
b based on positive sequence voltage, if the Sepam includes U21 and U32<br />
measurements.<br />
Frequency is not measured if:<br />
b the voltage U21 or positive sequence voltage Vd is less than 40 % of Un<br />
b the frequency is outside the measurement range.<br />
Readout<br />
The measurement may be accessed via:<br />
b the display of a Sepam with advanced UMI by pressing the key<br />
b the display of a PC with the SFT2841 software<br />
b the communication link<br />
b an analog converter with the MSA141 option.<br />

Temperature<br />
Operation<br />
This function gives the temperature value measured by resistance temperature<br />
detectors (RTDs):<br />
b platinum Pt100 (100 Ω at 0 °C or 32 °F) in accordance with the IEC 60751 and<br />
DIN 43760 standards<br />
b nickel 100 Ω or 1<strong>20</strong> Ω (at 0 °C or 32 °F).<br />
Each RTD channel gives one measurement:<br />
b tx = RTD x temperature.<br />
The function also indicates RTD faults:<br />
b RTD disconnected (tx > <strong>20</strong>5 °C or 401 °F)<br />
b RTD shorted (tx < -35 °C or -31 °F).<br />
In the event of a fault, display of the value is inhibited.<br />
The associated monitoring function generates a maintenance alarm.<br />
Readout<br />
The measurement may be accessed via:<br />
b the display of a Sepam with advanced UMI by pressing the key<br />
b the display of a PC with the SFT2841 software<br />
b the communication link<br />
