Observe that the clutch does not excessively slip causingthe motor to overrun and meet its mechanical stop with excessive force(causing the gear train to reverse direction) at either end of the powerstroke.9 To confirm that the snubbing (dynamic braking) is operating satisfactorily,observe that the switch gear train does not reverse direction after reachingits mechanical stop.
