When removing or replacingmotor, be sure to use two people to lift the motor.Lift the motor complete (18) away from the switch machine frame.Continue to Step 22 for <strong>Models</strong> <strong>5E</strong> and <strong>5G</strong>; skip to Step 23 for <strong>Models</strong> <strong>5F</strong>and <strong>5H</strong>.22 For <strong>Models</strong> <strong>5E</strong> and <strong>5G</strong>Loosen and remove the two remaining hex head nuts that secure the frameto the base.Remove the gear frame straight up.CAUTIONThe main gear may drop free when the hex HEAD nut isremoved from the bearing stud. To avoid damage, support themain gear while removing the hex head nut.Remove the hex head nut from the bearing stud. A bent lock washeraccompanies the hex head nut. Straighten the locking tab and remove thewasher with the nut.Tap out and remove the main gear assembly from the frame.Proceed to Step 24.P1293, Rev.
