Theory of OperationThe locations of the letters N and R on the hand-throw lever must correspond to thepositions of the switch after the machine (Models 5F and 5H only) has been operated byhand. Figure 2–6 shows the hand throw bar in the N position of normal correspondence.If the HAND THROW moves freely (no resistance) the switch machine and the pointsare out of correspondence with the lever.To reset correspondence- once the lever clicks into place, move it back 180 degrees tomove the switch points.To return the switch to power operation, move the Hand Throw Selector Lever to thePOWER position to supply energy to the motor.P1293, Rev.
