Tighten the two screws (22 and 23) and theirwasher that holds the stop and spring. Perform contact gap and pressureadjustments after installing the contact.6.4.5. Biased-Neutral ControllerTable 6–11. Biased-Neutral Controller Replacement ProcedureStepAction1 Open disconnect switch on terminal board.2 Remove elastic stop nuts from studs.3 Lift out controller case with wiring attached.4 Disconnect wiring. Wires are made up in a cable and can be removed fromone controller and replaced on the other in a group, without error.5 To position the new controller in the switch machine, place the switchmachine in its unlocked position. The bottom of the controller should justclear the lock dog.The controller should be free to move in any direction to allow for vibration,but it must not touch other parts of the machine, except through the resilientmounting springs. After the controller is installed, and periodically thereafter,check it as follows:6 Make sure wires are arranged to allow free movement of controller.7 Make sure stop nuts are tight.8 Operate machine to its fully unlocked position and check that controller casedoes not touch dog on locking bar.P1293, Rev.
