The lockedtorque measured from the end of the hand crank must be in excess of 10pounds. If the detent torque is less than 10 pounds, refer to Table 6–47Mechanical Test Procedure Steps 33 and 34.Check operation of magnetic holding device by hand-cranking switchmachine. It should require at least 3 foot pounds for a high-speed machine(110V) or 6.25 foot pounds for a low-speed machine (24V) to initiate handcranking.(Six or 12-1/2 pounds, respectively, of force at hand-crankhandle.)10 Remove the hand crank from the clutch shaft and reset the cutout contactby moving the blocking plate to the normal position.Re-install all covers and padlocks.Reset the crank mechanism cutout switch by moving the blocking plate tothe normal position.Re-install the fuses removed in Step 1 and restore the machine to service.P1293, Rev.
