Ifso, go to step 15; otherwise, proceed as follows:If contacts open more that 0.070 inch, go to field (opposite) end of detectorrod, loosen field-side nuts and tighten machine-side nuts until properadjustment is obtained. Retighten field-side nuts, then snug machine-sidenuts securely. Return to track end of detector rod.If opening is less than 0.060 inch or closed, go to field (opposite) end ofdetector rod, loosen machine-side nuts and tighten field-side nuts untilproper adjustment is obtained. Retighten machine-side nuts, then snug fieldsidenuts securely.
