How does Christ perform The Father’s“will” to become that sacrifice?The TestJesus came to save that which was lost in The Garden (The Treeof Life). He first had to destroy “the works” of Satan. Rememberthat Satan is the “god of this world.” So, by defeating Satan“spiritually” Christ proves that He is, indeed, your Savior andRedeemer. After Jesus was baptized by John, God, His Fatherdeclared that this man is His Beloved Firstborn Son (Matthew3:17). Afterward, Christ went into the wilderness to be tested bythe devil. In the wilderness, Christ fasted for forty days and fortynights. Then, Jesus became ravenously hungry (Matthew 4:1-2).After forty days, one can only try to imagine the state of totalexhaustion that Jesus, in the human flesh, felt without food andwater. But Jesus had to fast in this manner, to prepare Himselfto qualify, humanly, in order to win His contest with Satan. TheBible states that Jesus was “…an hungered” (Matthew 4:2). This
