What Is The Ministry79spiritually and not by the human Works of The Law, or adoptedpaganism. Now, examine these two houses of God.Church In The WildernessMoses was placed over The Church in The Wilderness (Acts 7:38).He was accompanied in this assignment by The Elders. Who arethese Elders and how were they chosen? The Law required thatevery male who opened the womb should be called Holy to TheLord (Luke 2:23).God Himself, by God’s Law, designated each firstborn male tobe Holy unto God. Hebrews 11:28 tells you that Moses had tosprinkle the blood (a type of Christ’s sacrifice), lest he (the deathangel) who destroyed Egypt’s firstborn should touch them (Israel,The Church in The Wilderness). Why are the firstborn males soimportant to God?The Law declares that the firstborn should receive a double inheritancefrom the father. This is because the firstborn is the beginningof the father’s strength. The importance of the firstborn(Christ) relates to teaching about the firstborn with the inheritance.Since this person represents the father’s strength, he mustbe responsible for the family. When the father dies, the firstbornmale is the one designated to take care of the family, just as Christdoes with God’s House, The Church (Deuteronomy 21:16-17).God said that all the firstborn of Israel (Church in The Wilderness)are mine - both man and beast (Numbers 8:17). When Godsmote the firstborn of Egypt, He Saved the firstborn of Israel to besanctified for His exclusive use. When the father dies, the firstbornmale becomes responsible for the family because he receivedthe double inheritance of the father’s strength.
