What hadbeen lost was The Garden of Eden with The Tree of Life - andeverything else on that first Seventh Day which was very good(Genesis 1:31). That is why God’s work is to believe on Himwhom He has sent (John 6:29). Christ came to make everythingvery good, just like that first Seventh Day in Eden. Christians do“good works daily” since they are the true Sabbatarians residingin God’s rest. That first Seventh Day was not a Sabbath (sabbaton- shadow), but truly a Holy Seventh Day of God’s rest for eternallife. The Seventh Day, Sabbath or a shadow, did not becomeThe Letter of The Law until Exodus 16 - Moses’ Law. When Godmade The Seventh Day Holy, He rested because He finished Hiswork. He did not tell Adam and Eve to rest because they werealready in God’s rest.In Mark 2:24-28, you find that after The Pharisees alleged thatJesus broke The Letter of The Law concerning The Sabbath; Jesussaid that David had a right to break the legal requirements of TheLaw. This was because he was doing “a good work” by feedinghis men with the shewbread.This compares with the acts of Jesus healing the sick. Why? BecauseThe Sabbath was made for the good of man and it is not forman to be restricted to any day, seventh, first, or any other, fromdoing good works (Mark 2:27). How does a Christian keep TheSabbath or any other day, by doing good works? You are to healthe sick, feed the hungry and help restore to humans some of theirneeds.
