He did not tell Adam and Eve to rest because they werealready in God’s rest.In Mark 2:24-28, you find that after The Pharisees alleged thatJesus broke The Letter of The Law concerning The Sabbath; Jesussaid that David had a right to break the legal requirements of TheLaw. This was because he was doing “a good work” by feedinghis men with the shewbread.This compares with the acts of Jesus healing the sick. Why? BecauseThe Sabbath was made for the good of man and it is not forman to be restricted to any day, seventh, first, or any other, fromdoing good works (Mark 2:27).
