It concerns the man of sin who opposes all that is ofGod - and how Christians are supposed to worship God (Verse 4).In other words, all of God’s truth which The Apostles had beenteaching, was purposely altered and changed. In this atmosphere,the truth of Christ would slowly disappear. This would includethe ideas circulating at that time that Jesus was not human - or didnot even come as a human being in the flesh. This was one of themajor teachings of the anti-Christ movement. Significant in allof this is that Paul said these “false teachings” were already beingtaught at the very time The Letter to The Thessalonians was beingwritten. It is vital to realize that Paul had to write this Epistlein order to protect “True Christians” from being duped causingthem to start to fall away. The implications are that “The GreatFalling Away” had already begun. Paul had to write that criticalLetter to The Thessalonians so Christians, at that time and, duringthis very time, would not be deceived or duped.John’s WarningThe Apostle John wrote the same important warning as Paul didto The Thessalonians. Remember, there were two primary eventsthat had to occur before Christ’s return:1 A GREAT FALLING AWAY FROM THE TRUTHand2 THE MAN OF SIN or ANTI-CHRIST WOULD BEREVEALED.
