<strong>God's</strong> Judgment49repentant criminals are the repeat offenders. They cannot controlthemselves.Job was a righteous man, but he was self-righteous and finallyhad to repent like everyone else (Job 42:5-6). But, all along, Jobhad an accuser who judged by appearance. It was Satan. Satanbecame Job’s unrighteous judge. He was like a prosecuting attorney.But Satan always judges by outward appearance (Job 1:8-11). Satan saw Job was exceedingly blessed by God. This couldnot be denied. On the surface it looked like Job was righteous,because he was blessed. So this was a lesson in judgment, notonly for Job, but for Satan, as well. So it is with Christians today.Jesus is sitting at God’s right hand and sharing God’s throne. Heintercedes for your sins by means of His shed blood (Hebrews8:1-2). This is the positive side of the equation.Death Is Total DestructionThe Apostle Paul declares that, “…all have sinned, and comeshort of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23). Remember that,“…the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23). Everyone dies.All have received the death penalty to pay for their sins. But whatis death? To the many who do not understand, they believe youare only partially dead when physical “life” terminates. Somehow,they believe you really do not completely die. Some holdto the notion that there is an immortal soul which goes to heavenat death. Hence, you are not really dead. Others believe that apart of you, as a “spirit,” survives and goes back to God until theresurrection. In both cases, a part of you exists and you reallydidn’t completely die.If you don’t completely die and a part of you still exists, then youhave not really died as Hebrews 9:27 states, “…it is appointed
